| Breast augmentation with own fat and stem cells from adipose tissue |

This weekend the Cellport Clinic in Yokohama hosted visitors from Berlin. Dr. Andreas Kurtz, CEO of Pharmicell and Dr. Olaf Kauder, plastic surgeon from Berlin visited the state of the art clinic now providing a revolutionary treatment for breast. Dr. Kotaro Yoshimura, assistant professor for plastic surgery at the University of Tokyo and a partner of the clinic, has already treated 200 patients successfully, with patients‘ own fat which was enriched with some of the own precursor cells of the adipose tissue. The results of this new treatment indicate that Dr. Yoshimura has found a method which widely conquers the previous deficiencies and imponderability of the own fat transplantation. In a special laboratory, from a part of the designated for transplantation adipose tissue, the contained precursor cells are separated and enriched in a simple procedure. When this is done, separately extracted adipose tissue is enriched with these precursor cells and finally transplanted. This procedure is particular suitable for patients which already have breast implants and actually should have their implants replaced either because the implants are already over aged or because they cause problems. In Japan the reconstruction of the breast after amputation and even after radiation was performed successfully. Up to now one vainly tried in the past to transplant the required amount of fat which is necessary for a sufficient breast enlargement. For the most part this ended with calcification or accumulation of oil cysts. For women who do not wish implants, Dr. Yoshimura’s method seems to exist which does without these disadvantages in most of the cases. With cooperation with Dr. Kauder, Pharmicell plans to offer this new technique in Berlin within this year. Yokohama, 26th April 2008
